Overview

Students will compare post-World War II jet aircraft with birds to explore how form supports function in both aviation and nature. They will investigate how wings and landing gear are designed to meet different needs and environments.

Virtual Classroom

Thanks to generous funding from the Freeman Foundation, Takitani Foundation, and Col. Robert F. Szul Scholarship Fund, the Museum is able to extend Virtual Classroom Visits for FREE to all State of Hawaii Department of Education classrooms while funding lasts.

Private schools and classrooms on the mainland can still access Virtual Classroom Visits for a charge of $100 per class.
