Disney’s war production was deemed so important to America that it was guarded around the clock by our troops. View this collection and learn just how Disney illustrators helped win the war with our newest experience, The Walt Disney Studios and World War II exhibition. Open Daily 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, June 1 – December 30, 2024. 

Designed to be an extension of our Museum exhibits, Hangar Talks are public events geared toward providing guests an added experience. From book signings and special presentations to panel discussions, our Hangar Talks series will broaden your knowledge and understanding of history and aviation.

Through our Community Events, guests can expect family-friendly days, days full of kids activities that teach them the fundamentals of flight and pique their interest in a career in aviation. Our signature events include Discover Your Future in Aviation, PHAMily Day, and Flight Adventures.

This webinar series brings our extended virtual community together to participate in discussions and presentations created to provide experts in aviation and history a platform to share their wealth of knowledge. Online webinars are currently held via Zoom.

Grand Opening Celebration

The day after Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, Walt Disney opened almost his entire studio to support the war effort. Disney’s war production included more than 1,200 insignia for the Armed Forces and related auxiliary groups, animated short films with favorite Disney characters, as well as instructional media and government educational films, posters, and publications. Disney’s war production was deemed so important to America that it was guarded around the clock by our troops.
