The Raytheon Pavilion, neighbored by our outdoor collection of historic and modern helicopters, stands between Hangars 37 and 79, offering visitors to the Museum an inspired and ever-changing roster of experiences with traveling exhibits covering everything from the future of aviation to the heroes of World War II.
The Raytheon Pavilion is a special display enclosure opened at the Museum in 2016, with the intention of providing exposure to national and international traveling exhibits as experienced through the lens of American history. The Raytheon Pavilion is made possible by Raytheon and currently hosts Above and Beyond, the world’s most interactive aviation and space exhibit, presented by Boeing. Previously, The Raytheon Pavilion was home to MathAlive!, an immersive STEM education exhibit.
Our outdoor collection can be found right outside The Raytheon Pavilion and contains over half a dozen helicopters in excellent condition, ranging from WWII-era helicopters to those which can be found in the skies today.
