Overview

The aerial attack on Pearl Harbor by Imperial Japan was swift, sudden, and unprovoked – or at least that was how it felt to the American people. Students take a closer look at the motivations behind the Pearl Harbor attack, the events leading to the “Date of Infamy,” in a timeline of events on December 7th, 1941.

Thanks to generous funding from the Freeman Foundation, Takitani Foundation, and Col. Robert F. Szul Scholarship Fund, the Museum is able to extend Virtual Classroom Visits for FREE to all State of Hawaii Department of Education classrooms while funding lasts.

Private schools and classrooms on the mainland can still access Virtual Classroom Visits for a charge of $100 per class.
