On Saturday, September 21, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum brings the history of Pearl Harbor and aviation exploration to life for FREE at its annual Living History Day.
1. Explore an open cockpit
Only open three times a year, climb into historic aircraft and experience life as an aviator.
2. Pilot a remote control aircraft
Take the controls as you fly a giant-scale remote control aircraft with a trained professional to teach you all the tricks!
3. Rivet with Rosie
Let Rosie the Riveter show you how she built World War II planes in the 1940s. Other historical figures, such as Amelia Earhart, will be there too!
4. Learn to swing dance
Put your dancing shoes on and get ready to dazzle your friends with all your smooth new moves.
5. Get smart with STEM
Dive into over 4,000 square feet of STEM activities and hands-on learning opportunities.
6. Catch a feature film
Don’t miss the screenings of “Living in the Age of Airplanes” and “One Six Right.”
7. Tour the B-17 Swamp Ghost
Nicknamed “The Swamp Ghost” for its curious and unusual history, this rare aircraft – which has been in our Restoration Shop for years – will be open for special tours for one of the first times ever.
