Experience It“AIR RAID ON PEARL HARBOR X THIS IS NOT DRILL.” These were the first words broadcast from Ford Island as the air raid on Pearl Harbor began, marking a moment in time that changed the course of history.
In the nearly eight decades since, this historic landmark — the Ford Island Control Tower — has proudly stood silent guard over Pearl Harbor. A monument to the brave men and women who fought in World War II, the tower has been further immortalized on the silver screen by epic films such as Tora! Tora! Tora! and Midway.
Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum will open the Ford Island Control to the public in 2020, as part of the historic 75th Commemoration of the End of World War II.
