Unveiling and Name Dedication Ceremony
On Thursday, Dec. 7 at 12:30 p.m. HST, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum will host an unveiling and name Dedication Ceremony for our SBD Dauntless.
On December 7, join us for a Dedication Ceremony, a tribute to honor the last pilot who took to the skies in our Douglas SBD-2P Dauntless aircraft. At this ceremony, we will memorialize the pilot by affixing his name to the plane.
Dr. Arthur Lendo, nephew of the last pilot of our SBD, will share the inspiring journey of how this aircraft, once submerged in Lake Michigan, found its way back to life through the Air Zoo team, and to its final destination, our Museum in Hawaii.
Be part of this moment in Hangar 37 as we pay homage to the resilience of the SBD-2P Dauntless and honor the last pilot who soared through the skies in service to our nation.
