Join us for a day filled with history and STEM activities to commemorate the Battle of Midway.
Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge, located 1,300 miles from Oahu, was the center of WWII battle that “turned the tide in the Pacific.” Students will explore the importance of the battle, and learn about ongoing efforts to protect and preserve this important site.
The program takes place at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and NOAA’s Daniel K Inouye Regional Center, both located on historic Ford Island.
Midway Youth Day is held in partnership with NOAA and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, who in addition to the State of Hawaii, co-administer the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument.
The registration fee is $15, which includes lunch and transportation between sites on Ford Island. The program is open to all students in grades 6-9. Space is limited. Registration is required.
