Title: Marketing and Sales Coordinator
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing

Classification: Non-exempt/Hourly; Full-time
Expected Hours: 40 hrs weekly 
Pay: 20-$24/hour

Job Summary:

The Marketing and Sales Coordinator will play a key role within the Marketing Department, assisting both sales and marketing teams to execute tasks needed to meet revenue goals for the Museum. This position will support the Marketing Department by creating brand awareness and promotion to attract visitors to Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and drive demand for tours, programs and other lines of business. Key responsibilities include writing compelling content, reporting on analytics, campaign content creation, leading grassroots sales and marketing approach.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assists in developing social media content for all channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube.
  • Writes and edits copy for all digital marketing including emails, blog posts, website copy, signage, and other tasks assigned by Director or Manager.
  • Under direction of Marketing Manager, interfaces with each department to create a calendar of events and important dates for Marketing departments awareness.
  • Responsible for event photography, photo organizing and creating digital photo albums for each event.
  • Develops media and community lists for promotional outreach and engagement.
  • Communicates and engages with social media followers to provide answers to questions and comments to reviews on platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Yelp, Google.
  • Provides monthly analytics and observation reports for social media channels and post-visit Museum surveys.
  • Undertakes other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director, Marketing Manager and/or Executive Director.
  • Executes a grassroots sales strategy for Oahu tour agencies/desks, concierge, etc.
    • Visits with major tour desks in Waikiki and Ko Olina to enhance relationship and provide the latest promotional information for their guests.
    • Contributes with creating and distributing sales collateral.
  • Works with Sales Manager to understand the SOP in place for building, finalizing, approving and signing contracts
  • Provides on-ground sales support to the operational staff on an as-needed basis and when approved by Marketing Manager.

General Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; two years related experience and/or training in non-profit fundraising, development, and Hawaii philanthropic community; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, use of personal vehicle, valid motor-vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to understand the correct use of language and creativity needed to write engaging and interesting copy, be proficient in copy editing, compose reports, and discuss ideas and solutions to improve processes. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and is a team player with can-do
  • Requires excellent customer service and follow-up skills, and an outgoing and positive personal style.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Klaviyo, and WordPress.
  • Excellent creative and promotional writing and editing skills
  • Experience working for a non-profit

Working Conditions:

  • Mostly work indoors in an office setting with periodic outdoor work for events.

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.

  • Physical demands include sitting, working on the computer, talking/listening on the telephone and reading detailed paperwork.

  • Some lifting may be required when setting up trade shows and moving boxes of literature that weigh up to 30 pounds. 


  • 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, will occasionally require holidays, weekends and evenings.

  • Flexibility required as projects and assignments may from time to time require more than 40 hours per week.
